Title: Guaranteed utility equilibrium
Abstract: We introduce a novel equilibrium concept called guaranteed utility equilibrium (GUE). A profile of strategies forms a guaranteed utility equilibrium if every agent can obtain a utility guarantee, and all those guarantees sum up to the highest value of the total surplus. GUE has arguably better properties than DSE, we show some old examples where GUE was used without this being noticed.
The talk is based on joint work with Alexander Rodivilov and Alexander Teytelboym.
